Step 1: Travel to a Metropolitan City Area
- Head to any major city hub in the game using teleportation or standard travel.
- Ensure your character is safely inside the city limits.
- Avoid being in combat, dungeons, or mounted—class changes only work when stationary in the city.
Metropolitan cities like Sanctum or Pandemonium are safe spots and are conveniently located near Class Change NPCs.
Step 2: Open the Class Change Interface
- Press your main menu key to bring up the system menu.
- Navigate to the Aion Look sub-menu.
- Select Class Change from the options.
This opens the interface where you’ll pick your new class and manage gear swaps.
Step 3: Choose Your New Class and Swap Gear
- From the list of eight available archetypes, pick the class you want to switch to.
- Review your current equipment and select which pieces to convert.
- You can exchange up to 5 pieces of equipment for free.
- Any additional gear beyond five items requires a premium Quna currency fee.
Be sure to check your weapon and armor compatibility—some skills are tied to specific equipment types.
Step 4: Finalize the Transformation
- Confirm your choice to complete the class change.
- Your character’s appearance, skills, and active class will update instantly.
- All replaced or converted gear will be sent directly to your inventory.
Once finalized, you’re ready to explore your new role and test out its abilities in combat and questing.
